I'm not there when you sleep at night

With somebody else there by your side

Though my shadows bounce of the wall

As they twist and climb and crawl

I know you can't be griefs slave

And only fall down and kiss my grave

I'm gone, gone from this place

I knew you'd have to get back in Cupid's race

I'll hide behind curtains and doors

Watch you embracing once more

I'll sit at the top of your bed

Play with your hair, stroking your head

The windows are closed

Yet you still feel cold

Please move on, be happy, don't grieve

But stay here at my grave and never leave
