It was one of those hot days in June when your house feels like the inside of a baker's oven. For a 10 year old boy this was the biggest reason to go the playground. As I walked down the steep wood stairs inside my insanely hot oven.

I dragged myself into the basement which is as cool as the Arctic tundra to find my mom put clothes in the dryer. I asked.\"Can we go to the playground, because it's sooooo hoooooootttttt!\" My mom said. \"Sure we have time till I have to make dinner.\"

After about five minutes me my mom and sister were on our way. As we walked down the sun baked streets hurrying from one leafy green oasis of shade to the next, with the row home on each side of the street providing little help. As we crossed the final street to the baseball field which is connected to the playground by about 60 yards of grass field.

I asked my sister. \"Want to run to the swings\" with a quick reply\"sure.\" from her. We dashed to the swing, with the air being push against our face we ran faster and faster until we couldn't go any faster. As we reach the swing we were a little tired but that didn't stop us from playing. As we were blissfully swing I said to my sister \"Bet I can swing higher then you.\" With a quick reply \"No you can't!\" We started the competition.

My sister gracefully flowed like that of a flowing river as she swung to new height while I was viciously flailing trying to \"get off the ground\"and catch up to her. The competition ended with her victorious and me sulking in my defeat. As a 10 year old boy lessing in a competition of swings to his 8 year sister my pride was wounded and the only way to restored it was to get revenge. I stated\" bet you can't JUMP of the swings while swinging high!\"

This time her reply was not quick showing she was thinking seriously. After 30 seconds or so of think she agreed. As she was building up speed, she was swinging higher and higher and higher till she can't go any higher and then I stated yelling \"JUMP, JUMP, JUMP!\"

As my words reached her and her confidents decreased from the way she was stalling, she finally stopped and said \" I can't do it\" With a grunt and a feeling of satisfaction I said \"It's ok.\"

My sister was now angered by my remark, in her fury she came up with the perfect plan, she doubled dared me to the same dare.

While laughing at her I unconsciously said \" Sure, no problem.\" As i started to swing I was no long laughing because as i swung higher and higher to the same height as my sister(it take slightly longer) I begin to see what she saw and as she was about to jump, the other child becoming smaller as i got higher, the azure sky got close with it's bright yellow marble blinding me as i tried to look at it.

Finally I had reach the right height and my sister yelled\" Jump! Jump! Jump!\" I gathered all my courage and tried to jump the first time I could't so I take a deep breath and on my second try jumped.

As I jumped I did a spin so how and end up look at the clear blue sky not knowing when I would fall a few tear fall from my eyes. As I held my hand out the Yellow marble in the sky I felt at peace for a moment then DOOOOOMMMMM! I had hit the ground? But this ground felt softer, it had clothes most of all it had hair? What strange world was I in, I thought, where the ground had hair.

As looked down I realize it's not the ground I was laying on it was a kid. I quickly got off the disorientated kid and ask if he was okay. As I was doing that a huge man who was on par with a giant(from a kids point of view) come with an angry looking face and asked what happened here? As asked I explained to the man in the most vivid detail and with the biggest words I could think of to tell the story of what happened.

After listening the man his facial expression did not change, he told me to wait there until he got back. When he left the feeling in my chest was a very different feeling then any I ever felt before, it was the first(and not the last) \"screw that!\" feeling. So I hurried grabbed my sister and we dash to our mom and said were leaving. My mom who was confused asked why but we kept running and she come without a second word.

FIN.
