Feelings become fears when we allow them to control us

A simple smile becomes a touching moment that we feel binds us

The warmth rising within making the shadows fall back to the deepest hollows of our minds

A new light falling as the struggle between the irrational and the rational begins.

Does this person smile at me because they feel they need to

Does this person smile at me because they want to

Does this person smile at me because they want something from me

Shadows fall across our minds as the light and dark struggle.

Fight or flight grips our minds and we begin to feel

But at the same time we also start to second guess

Is this for real or is this someone seeking what they need at your expense

Shadows fall across our minds as the light and dark struggle

Each action measured against past feelings and failures

Successes bring joy but failure bring experience and the sum of what we are.

Seeking someone to hold you in light and dark, a guide to hold against you

Shadows fall across our minds as the light and dark struggle

Light pulls our hearts from the darkness and the shadows are pushed back once more

We have found what our heart desires and in turn were filled with love and happiness

Giving and sharing each and every day as we continue to fight in our minds as

Shadows fall across our minds as the light and dark struggle
