A poem from 2003. Read it.

A Prayer For The Living

I know to say
A prayer for the dying;
But what do I say
For those who go on trying?

Those of us who
Have been cursed;
Those of us who
Have been hallowed;
Who know sorrows
In endless torrents;
Who know delights
In fleeting breaths.

Is there any hope for us?
When will we be blessed?

So now I say a prayer for the living.

Oh, boy, this is so true. How tempting it can be to just give up, but sometimes that is just not an option. Excellent write.
