Recently went through your generic high school relationship break up that happened to occur in my sophomore year of college . It was a 3 year relationship that just never really matured much past either persons wants and upon accessing the relationship as a whole i realized i didn't need anybody but myself.

It isn't even a thought
When im sitting by myself
Looking at the life that i bought
To leave these all on the shelf
Is the least i can do
To tell myself
Something that is finally true
That i have to love my person
Before i could ever love you
To prove to my being
That i am person
Worth while seeing
Someone to be admired
A person that never tires
It is the least i can do
To have something to prove
To the rest of the world
Instead of a single girl
So i have no choice
But listen to my own voice
And let it reason
Instead of just
Changing with the season
No more can i sit by myself
My own feelings on the shelf
Worried with anothers opinion
I must become
King of my own dominion
