Mike saw the open cemetery doors.

The black, wrought-iron gates were creepy looking.

He saw the vampire coffins, and shivered.

The moon's glow hit his pale face.

He hadn't imagined what it was like to have a vampire feed on his blood. He didn't believe in vampries; he didn't believe he would be dead from a bite to the neck. That happened in bad horror movies he'd seen as a teenager back in the nineteen seventies, and mid-nineteen eighties. At forty, he was older and wiser than the other children of his childhood who saw horror films at the cinema. His parents would object, and he would say it was scary, while he brought the VHS videos from the video store, and pretend to deal with imaginary creatures of the night.

Mike waited, and saw one of the coffins was open.

He saw Madeline Carson grin at him, as she spoke in an Ohio accent.

"Feed! I need to feed on your blood!".

She glided towards him in her black gown on the cobbled path that was full of black ravens. Mike screamed. The vampire bit into his neck in the foggy darkness with her sharp fangs. Blood spilled down her face, and onto the path.

Then, seconds later, all was eerily silent in the ancient cemetery in Ohio.
