Myerson glanced at the black, wrought-iron gates.

Blood spilled downward onto the gravelly road.

He walked to the front of the gate.

The caretaker, Mister Frost, was dead.

He was drained of blood.

__

He looked at the coffins.

They were closed; they had padlocks on them.

Myerson frowned.

One of them was broken.

He hated vandalism.

He was about to report the crime when he heard the sound of footsteps; the footsteps were hard on the gravel. He frowned, and saw a vampire gliding towards him.

"How dare you break my coffin".

"I didn't do that".

"Then who did?", the vampire asked him.

"Vandals", Myerson answered.

"This place is for the dead".

"I understand".

And he shivered.

___

Myerson focused on the front entrance of the old cemetery.  The vampire bit him in the neck. He screamed, and his body thudded next to her black boots.

He died before he was rescued from the vampire.
