I950s Space Spiders

Lost in an orbit around earth for over sixty years the orb, filled with sfx giant movie spiders, all but forgotten, began a fast descent into the middle of the Arizona desert. The script called for the spiders to terrorize a small town that would of course band together, and after some gory deaths, defeat the aliens.

Crashing on site of the old movie set the spiders began their reign of terror. The small shacks and store fronts had been replaced with real homes in huge subdivisions complete with a McDonalds and a Walmart at it’s center.

Confused by the change in the script the spiders peeled away the aluminum foil and paper mache from their bodies and reentered the destroyed orb.

“ I’m telling you Dad. I saw space spiders, with ray gun eyes, crash just outside the Walker’s park.” Timmy Mann looked at his father for support.

“ And I guess they were in black and white?”

Timmy beamed.

“ How did you know ?”

“ O.K. young man. No more midnight science fiction movies for you. Imagination is one thing but...”

“ Dad, not fair.”

Without the extra weight of the foil and paper mache the spiders metal bodies were swift and without mercy.

END

[ only Timmy survived.]
