A cone shaped cloud hovered low in the sky,
It swirled and then opened just as I walked by.
Was it a trick of the eye, or a twist of fate?
or maybe I’ve found a 4th dimensional gate?

I moved to the left and it moved with me,
so I moved to the right, so that I could see.
And right in the middle I saw a bright light,
with shimmering colours inviting delight.

I reached out my hand, not knowing what to expect,
and a hand reached back with heart-felt respect.
With boldness I clasp that hand within mine,
Then the years rolled backwards to the starting line.

I felt a pulse within a pulse, and I knew it as my own
Without a body I was perplexed, and began to feel alone.
My outstretched hand no longer there, but still I felt the other,
calmness wrapped around and within, like a warm soft cover.

Visions came with a remembrance of the first breath I ever took
And as I watched I noticed a very familiar looking book.
The book was bound with leather, the words moved on there own
And as I read I saw my story filled with all that I had sown.

And with it came acceptance for the things I could not change,
That’s when I noticed a tapestry unfinished, woven upon that page.
Weaved and spun with golden thread unfolding as I read,
A new beginning now in sight, within the loom I’m never dead.-written by Robyn Brown
