A voyage is a heartbeat in retrospective view

But firm ground hides; just a lie

‘Till journey’s through

Not just nights; it’s the days where you, my escape, elude me

Confuse me that I might cease to feel

Or use disjunct words as a means to heal

When Autumn calls, these hometown halls, like ghosts

Or foreign homes, a heart’s weight, will bear

And I will not be host to unhope and despair

This I swear; we’ll meet again in the bones of a shallow prison

My own design, a forlorn angst once arisen

Bathing in your refracted brilliance; I, your prism

We’ll span light’s feeble spectrum

Before mourning days call our name

Outshine, outlast the sun

In the glow of your embrace

I’ll bear the cosmic fever just to know your loving face
