This isn’t a ‘state of the art’ poem but it’s definitely ‘straight from the heart’…
A poem about my life, as if it were a circus!!

I started out here about 20 years ago,

Where my talent, to the rest of the world I show;

I perform throughout the day,

In every step that I take and

Every word that I say.

The decisions I make, the people I see,

The stunts are all inside of me.

It’s hard to believe, but here at the Circus,

We never get tired, we never get nervous.

There is always that adrenaline and thrill,

That runs through my veins,

Before each stunt, that carries with skill,

It’s share of joys and pains.

The parents and audience, whoever they be,

Continue to keep applauding me.

I learn new tricks, with each new day,

From elders and friends, I can’t repay.

Whatever I do, I do my best, and to God I leave all the rest.

It’s not easy to handle the struggles and strifes,

But all this comprises the “Circus called Life”!!!
