Encased in my heart of darkness long

I walk winding roads of no longer belong

Through thickness of dirges plagued

Underneath pain that I have begged

Tears disguised by the heavy pour rain

Wishing for love which I have no claim

A heart I wish to hold for only love sake

Instead I possess pieces of heart break

Entwined in depression no light of dark

Red stains of passed ago fresh marks

Mask of solemn hidden by casket untruth

Age of grey lost within pain of once youth

Time laps my sanity slowly away by time

Until what I use to be is no longer mine

I understand this well--not feeling like an owner of who you are or feeling undeserving of love. Whatever bad place you're in, this is great poetry and I hope it's helping you find yourself again.
