7 years she couldn't sleep with the light on, now I can...

Far past midnight, my cottage cold and empty,

Bed- shared by none, the nightstand light is on.

The light is warm, let it beam through sleepless eyelids

She needed complete darkness to dream.

Restless, twisted, flexible, naked , sideways, Bed-shared by none

I, now, sometimes sleep with the light on...
