Laughing happily as if to last forever.
A change prevailed within the elder's soul
As if put onto hot coal.
Resentment and bitterness now sets in.
Anger grows till one day it no longer shows.
Conversations grow weary
Where once they were cheery.
This blistery bond will forever remain a mystery.
