The Hunter and the Hunted

Crouch now below

The broken sky

Though once

They were enemies

Their hatred

Now dies

The wound bearing Mortal

Stares with

Sightless eyes

The Hunter and the Hunted

Quietly cry

“Woe is the world”

They speak

“Woe is the world

Woe is the pain

We have unfurled”

“Woe is our teachings

And woe is our cause”

For in this land

Of forsake

They knew naught

They knew

Not

The wound bearing Mortal

Begs Death

For one last breath

To speak

Unto His children

A secret

Well kept

But Death

Being spiteful

And coy

In It’s ways

Denied His

Last request

And ended

His days

And so

The Hunter and the Hunted

Kneel down

On broken hearts

Body’s begging

To let go

Pain begging

Not to start

“Woe is the sound

Of one thousand

Hearts breaking”

Proclaimed the Hunted

And left

The Hunter quaking

And so

The world

Goes on

Not missing

The wound bearing Mortal

Nor the sons

Hunter and Hunted

Fore the Father

All matter

Fore the World

Too broken

To miss anything

You are

Simply

...Gone...
