A poem to help express what is seen in many people in our world day in and day out through the eyes of a cold, heartless outcast.

Mercy, love, care, and sympathy

Words I've failed to embed into my dictionary

Not because of my lack of empathy

But the hollowness that is in their company

Ever so often, do I see the expressions

Of a plastic barbie doll, imitating true impressions

Practicing over and over again

Til she perfects the expression of pain

They say that they care

And are truly devoted

To help you with their prayer

But deep down they're polluted

So even though they wear masks

To try and hide their true selves

I will always see right through

And inside them, I see myself
