Celebrate slaughtering silence.
Tree's fall that made no sound.
Twig's crackle that is silenced.
Bomb's boom that was ignored.
Baby's cry that nobody heard.
Bird's song left unanswered.
People screamed as others turned their backs.
Celebrate softened screams.
Are they any different?
Pillow held to muffle the cry.
Cuts, bruises, and burns.
People who chose not to see.
People who chose not to show.
Mixture of tears and blood.
Taste like liquid metal
Screams held within.
Blue turning bright red, then maroon.
Sting, a cool spring breeze;
Liberating, cleansing, energizing.
