Cryptic clouds bring burning rain that falls upon me, stinging softly
All these facades and quitter gods fall down like rain, magnify the pain
On the search for the golden hearse, mile after mile forgot how to smile
Hiding in the dark, afraid of the gray, a lost soul today, another cliche
Got my alcohol IV in my veins, got my Haldol here and my Prozac there
Face myself to see the evil inside, why do I stare when I'll never care?
The golden rule died when the river ran red, love everyone else, but hate yourself
Don't stone the glass house, stone the man inside, we broke the creed so you must bleed..

You don't know anything
You'll believe in anything
You'll love anything
But you'll never feel a thing

Subliminal messages flood my brain, tell me I'm ok, they'll go away
It's a passing phase, you'll beat it kid, just keep it cool and play everybody's fool
Connect the dots to the cross on my head, it was beating red but I knew I was dead
The hints didn't work so I gotta admit, whatever I say I'm not ok
This isn't a joke with a cool punchline, this isn't a suspension of disbelief for attention
I'm emotionally naked for you all to see, look deep inside and prepare to hide
This is my nirvana, where I wanted to be, free from all of me and my insecurities
So look in my eyes and shed a tear, you know it's true, there is a part of me in you...

You don't know anything
You'll believe in anything
You'll love anything
But you'll never feel a thing
