A SUMMERS DAY

IF I COULD HAVE A SUMMERS DAY

AND NEVER THROW THE LOT AWAY

I'D SAY THAT SOMEONE LOST THEIR LID

AND ONE HOT DAY I ATE A SQUID.

DO YOU THINK ALL THIS A LIE,WHY?

I'VE ARTED WITH A SCHMIDT AND CRIED.

ANOTHER HUNDRED DAYS I HID,

I NEVER DID.

FOR I AM OPEN, AS YOU SEE,

I'M JUST PACKED FOR A MOVE OR THREE

I'M NOT A WIZARD AS A CHEAT

I NEVER RECOGNISE DEFEAT

SO IF YOU THINK I'M INCOMPLETE

THEN,NOONE HAS INSCRIBED ON ME

A CURSE OR SORCERY

AND THIS IS FOR YOUR MAJESTY

OF WHATEVER CASTE YOU BE

AND YOU SHALL SHARE MY SUMMERS DAY WITH ME...
