Today’s Heat

I was walking down the street, street,
And the hot, hot, sun beat, beat,
Down on my poor head and my feet, feet.
Sweat poured down, and I fell on my seat, seat.
On the sidewalk, I sat, feeling so weak, weak.
Then I looked down and noticed my feet, feet
Had melted into my seat, seat.
And I was becoming a puddle on the street, street.
