just tell me what you think

I'm sorry I can't be the one you want me to be
I'm sorry I can't be everything you need
I'm sorry this is the way I am
And I'm sorry but I don't want you to forgive me
No matter what happens I will always be who I am
No matter how intense my fire is I will always remain as cold as ice
I will always see the world in the darkest light
And I can only trust in my own might
Parts of me will change but the rest is in a vice
I'm sorry I'm not anybody else you see
I'm sorry but nothing can stop me from being me

Ok, here is what I get from this... Someone (family maybe) wants you or expects you to be something other than yourself. You seem to feel conflicted, as not wanting to disappoint, so you feel sorry that you can't live up to that expectation. But all in all you have accepted this fact and thrown it back in their face. "Here I am world, take me as I am", is what this says to me. Embrace who you are, becuase no one knows you like you know yourself! lol did that make sense?

You were very close. it wasn't family and its not that they had and expectaion but i did realise that i am who i am and thats all they can get from me ;) glad you liked it
