You arrive and you wonder
Under fire, dodging thunder,
What's it mean to be alive?
Is it the breaths you take?
Or what takes your breath away?
Something's gotta give.
Leave it to another day.

You're here.
You've arrived.
That's all you need to know.
Is it time to kick back?
Take a breather?  Take it slow?

No that's not the way we play it.
We arrive to make a scene.
We're here to stand and be noticed.
To see and be seen.
We need to know that we've counted.
Need to know the splash we've made.
Claiming the fame and recognition.
Getting money, getting laid.

So why are you different?
Why do you stand apart?
Why do you give a damn?
It's 'cause you have a heart.
You cherish those moments.
Those moments that steal your breath.
You love the people in your life,
You love them half to death.
And when you finally realize,
For whom you fight and strive
It's then that you've made it.
It's then that you arrive.
