As a child my memories of my Grandfathers home was like walking through a car junk yard,I used to imagine a simple yet beautiful flower making its way through the pile of old cars.I donated this poem and one of my paintings to the children of Ronald MacDonald House Bribane QLD.AUS. Xmas 2008 I hope they get some light in their lives this is the actual painting.

Natures Child.

It starts of as a seed, then growss up as a flower

The sun shines on it ,it soon begins to tower

Two tone green, just past the leaves

With orange and red petals and a aqua center piece

Its place is in the corner over by the fence

When I stop to look at it,I'm caught by suspence

It's beauty that it holds,is one of it's own

It brightens the corner, with an exciting glow

It has a scent, one to remember

The time of the year is almost  december

Night falls soon, so it's of to bed

pulling it's petals in,and lowering it's head

It gives out a yawn, and stretches it's leaves

For a good nights sleep and a little peace.
