Sam has a a very fulfilling dream, it's almost like real life.

The Dream

Sam awoke with a jolt, and rolled out of bed onto the floor. He was at his friend John's house... This was unusual, he was at his house when he went to bed the previous night. "This must be a dream..." Sam thought to himself. John was still fast asleep, Sam decided it best not to bother him.

Hopeing that John would wake him before work the next day, Sam strolled out of the door wanting to take full advantage of this fantasy.

He had always heard that you can do what you want in dreams, just concentrate and it will appear. This was apparently wrong, Sam thought as he concentrated his efforts on making a Corvette appear out of nowhere. No results. "Oh Well.." Sam said aloud, "What does it matter." He decided he would just walk around and observe life in his dream, as compared to what it looked like normally. Not much had changed. The neighborhood John lived in was quiet, apparently everybody was at work in his dream. Then it hit him. There was a beautiful blonde girl that worked at his barbershop, oh what fun it be if she were there!

Sam decided it would be hilarious to go mess with her in his dream, for that would lead to good conversation when he woke up later and went to work. He hurried down the street, getting closer to the town ahead. His barbershop was built close to an over-pass, not far from John's neighborhood.

Sam hustled through the door to find Jenna sitting alone in the shop, reading a magazine. Sam walked over to her methodically.

"Hello Sam, you're in early." Jenna barely looked up as she said this.

Sam bent down and kissed her, full on the lips for about 10 seconds. Jenna finally pulled away and asked "What was that for?"

"You'll find out when I wake up!" Sam said cheerfully as he swept from the room, and back out the door.

Sam had always wanted to fly, so he figured he should get a move on with it before he was woken up. He climbed the overpass and stared down at the highway. There weren't many cars but Sam decided to start flying before he got all the way down. He would have to concentrate really hard to do this one, if he hit bottom he figured he would just wake up early.

"Welp, here it goes." Sam concentrated hard on flying, then he jumped.

It was raining two days later at Sam's funeral, and not many people came. Sam's one true friend, John, had been arrested a day earlier for possession of excessive amounts of LSD.
