This was inspired by a song called the Tears Of God by Josh Turner. I really felt so strong about this particular subject matter, and I had to express it.

The Tears in the Blood

The small stream ran through the field with a blood red rhythm of sorrow.

God along with the angels oversaw the sight in fright, the devil gazed with delight,

God and his choir of angels sang a graceful hymn of peace, and the devil scoffed in disgust,

The devil tried to burn away the tears that hit the ground from the Lord, that His grateful and most humble servants wept, but he could not. Fore their power was too great. The soldiers were gently showered with the blessed water from the Eyes that cried, as they were sang the most precious melodies full of love, peace, and honor.

While there bodies lay battered and busted, their spirits were ready to fly away. God took each one where they were slayed, and picked them up again, and carried them home. The angels rejoiced, and the devil cried his eyes were in fire, because he lost their souls forever.
