“The Brushes”

Hi! My name is Billy the Brush and I am the best paintbrush in the world! I am the color blue with yellow polka-dots. In this story, I will be telling you my story of becoming the best paintbrush in the world when I was 11 years old. Enjoy!

It was May 11, 1999 and I was sitting in a cup. I was surprised because no one has used be in days. Eventually, those days turned to months and the months turned to years! I thought I want to get out of here and start painting. The sad thing was, I thought I couldn't. “No paint brush can paint by himself,” I said.

About an hour later, a little boy walked in the room with his  dad. “Can I paint a picture,” The little boy said. “Sure,” The dad responded. I was getting excited. I thought I was finally going to paint a picture again. Sadly, they did not use me and instead they opened a new box.

After 15 minutes of painting, the little boy dropped the other paintbrush (Who was a girl) in the cup that I was in. I wanted to beat her up so bad! “Hi! My name is Brianna the Brush. What is your name,” She said. I responded in a very sad voice. “What is wrong,” she asked.

I finally told her the whole story about me wanting to paint again. “Well, you have to pursue your goals,” Brianna said. “What,” I responded. “If you want to do something you should do it. So I say, If you want to paint again then gosh darn get out of this cup and paint like you have never before,” she yelled.

After minutes of thinking, I did exactly what she told me too. I jumped out of the cup went to a piece of paper and started to draw. First I painted house. Then a dog, cat, bird, ice cream, fish, Elvis Presley, and much more. I loved it and I felt like a paintbrush again. Brianna was cheering for me so loud she almost lost her voice! “Thank you! Thank you a lot,” I said.

And from that day on, I now go around schools telling people my story and to pursue their dreams and goals.
