It leaves you speechless

Breathless to a point

Months and months leading up to a moment

That can't possibly disappoint

Then the spotlight turns on

Your heart pounds with the sound

Your mind can't believe what you're seeing

Completely and utterly spellbound

Clinging to the beat

Hanging on each word

The fact that anything else exists

Suddenly seems absurd

In love with a moment

On an unforgettable night

Whatever happens the rest of your life

At least something went right

And as it slowly comes to an end

You realize you will survive

Because even though a part of life is ending

For a brief moment, you were alive
