R.I.P what used to be

Without trust there is no love
Without you my sky’s not blue
Without me you’re so happy
Without life I’m a corpse rotten inside.

Here we stand without a smile
As you threaten to turn the dial
Point that pistol at my head
I dare you to shoot me dead.

Without us there is no sun
You and I put crime on the run
But no that the end has begun
There’s no hope for us now.

You slice through me like a knife
For loving you I pay the price
It’s like rolling dice
Only a small chance of winning your heart.

The death of me awakens you
Turning my skin a pale blue
My red rose wilted and black
As dark as your midnight heart
