Fish selling women on bus
Today after watching a movie, my friends and I boarded a private bus, after eating lunch from a little hotel. It was too hot as the sun is like a red-hot iron. We were standing, many people was there. I can merely see out through the window umbrellas, people drinking juices fruits and all. The bus reached the second stop after we are inn; worse thing is that I have to stand for an hour to get back home. Lucky, some three men went off so we took the seats there near the back door. The bus is going that slow that it takes 20 minutes to cover one stop, due to the bloody block.Next stop reached, here came a women wearing a sari, she was about 55 years and carried a big dish full of vegetables. Like drum stick, tomato and a plastic cover placed on top of it. She was very weak she could hardly lift it. Some passenger on footboard helped her to lift that up. Somehow, she managed to get in to the bus before it started. She got in, placed her dish under a seat, and stood, holding up. I saw she is dancing there she is not that strong to stand there. I asked her, do you want to sit here? She said nothing but smiled. I offered my seat, went back standing. The buss reached another stop; men again went off so I got the seat near her, by the window. There was smell of fishes coming out from her basket or dish. It smelled nasty. I asked her are you coming after selling fishes?. She said with a shy face. As if fish selling is a worst job meanwhile the bus again trapped on a block, this time nearby a temple. I saw the women praying to god. Namaskaram.. The bus started moving very slowly I asked her again do u go selling all the day where are you from? She said yes. In addition, said the place. It is too long, longer than mine is. She asked where are you from I said my place. She is doing this whole day after doing her household works .The bus is approaching the stop near my home.I saw her praying to Jesus as bus slowly passed in front of a church. I thought she is a Hindu. This woman is so great than many in our country who fight in the name of gods for their own needs. Hey, you fools, see her knowledge. She would have prayed to a mosque if one were on the way. They never differentiate gods or people believing in different gods for people like her and me god is one. He is in church he is in mosque he is in temple he is in you, her and me. Trust me. They never disturb god by asking lots of money or pleasure. They only prey, to good for health so they could do the same job on next day and look after her children or save enough money to eat that day’s meal. They are the real humans. They are the heroes of my life. At last, my stop reached and I went off. Said bye to my friend s and stepped on to footboard. Bus stopped, I turned back to her. She smiled that smile is worth a hundred of thanks and a million prayers for my little help.
