This piece was inspired by a poem I found at http://thesemoments.blogspot.com/2005/07/i-love-i-love-sliding-i-love-upsetting.html. I thought it was so pristine that I had to create my own rendition. Though it shares a form, this one comes straight from the heart.

I love
the wetness
rain dancing on the roof
the sound of her replete
absolute
yellow and pink
pomegranate
granatum malum (pomegranate)
bowls made of ivory coupling moonstones and black onyx
erudite nuclei
never letting go
in my dreams the angel making dust of my walls
the eruption in my thoughts
panic in my heart
the pull of my soul toward seventh heaven and drowning in cloud nine
insanity…
the fear that comes
the conscious eye
the song of her name
who is in the vein of God?
white and black and totality
inter spem et metum (between hope and fear)
chalices made of silver blending tears of Janus and Juno
the archer in the fresh calm of the dying’s heart balancing the beam in hunting
in my nightmares falling before the lady champion
the distending of pride
the hanging on
the fluttering in my belly
wrenching of my awareness from purgatory to light
loving Aega with a kiss of flame full with a longing
loving tragically excruciatingly exquisitely…
…her…
always her…
