This poem is basically my feelings about my mum who passed away when I was 19. I write a lot of poems about my mum as there is so much I can say about her and the words are all so real.

A smile that brightened up the darkest place,

Brown eyes that held so many fears, yet still remained welcoming and so sincere,

A hug that no one could ever replace,

A lady full of elegance and grace.

A sense of humour that made my day,

A love so true in every way,

A look of proudness you'd always have

Whenever you saw your children laugh.

Anyone you ever met, can only speak good words of you,

I've never met someone so genuine and true.

I know that god must love me,

Because he blessed me with you.

If I could have one wish,

I'd bring you back to me,

So we could spend one final day together,

And make treasured memories.

I know I tell you daily,

But I need for you to know,

That I love you more than life itself,

And I will never let your memory go.

I think of all the happy days we used to have,

The fun, the laughs and jokes,

The times that you were there for me when I was ill or sad.

As long as I'm alive, you never can be gone,

For the parts of you still with me, will make sure that you live on.
