Simple Plan and Hedley Contest!!

GUNNING

“Dear Me

I have lost my legs and my face looked like a monster. Make sure I’ll never show myself to others. I am not perfect anymore. “

A letter I wrote to myself and reminder for what I am now. Putting it away, I looked at the girl in the mirror. She used to have long light brown hair up to her waist with big brown eyes, oval face, kissable lips, and petite nose. She has long slender beautiful legs and beautiful body with the right curves at the right place. She’s beautiful in everyone eyes. She’s perfect and girls dreamed they could be as beautiful as her. The girl in the mirror used to be proud and confident with herself.

That was before the accident. Yeah, the accident which had destroyed the perfection that she had and broke all the confidence she held. The accident had made her look fragile and unwanted.

Tears came running down my eyes. Damn it. I hate the look of this girl in the mirror in front of me right now. She looked so week, so imperfect. She looked so broken.

“No matter how you look right now, you still are perfect to me,” Nick walked behind me bending down, wrapping his arm around my shoulders. “I love you no matter what,” kissing my neck.

I pushed him away and turned round looking at him, “Look at me. Look at my face, I looked like a monster. Look at my legs, I only had one left,” I cried and move away from him.

“So what?” he scoffed. “We could always fix you face anytime and the doctor said they could give you an artificial legs and you’ll walking like normal again.

“No! I won’t!” I screamed.

“What happened to that girl that I’m fallen in love with? The girl who is strong, confident and willing to take whatever challenges that comes by. Where is she?” he asked softly.

“She had died in the accident,” I told him bluntly. Tears keep on falling down my eyes.

“If that’s so, I should be with her then,” he said softly squatting down and holds my face in between his palms making me looked directly into his loving eyes. “I love her so much. She’s perfect in everything. It’s not about her looks that made her perfect but she herself. She’s full of energy, confident and strong heart. I want her. I want to be with her. I’m gunning for her. I’m gunning for my Jenna. I’m gunning for my beautiful and strong Jenna.”

“She’s gone,” I sobbed. “Don’t you see Nick? I’ll never be the same again. I might do the plastic surgery on my face, I might have an artificial legs but I’ll never be the same. I will never be the same. I’ll never be perfect again. I’ll never be who I am again.” I reasoned out with him.

Still looking at me with his loving eyes, he said again, “You’ll never be yourselves again if you make yourselves believe that. You’ll never going to be perfect again if you, yourselves said no. It’s not end of the world, Jenna.”

Joining his forehead with mine, he whispers, “I love you Jenna. I will always be at your side. I love you and together we’re going to make you perfect again. I promised you. Please don’t give up on you. Please don’t give up on us.” he pleaded.

I pulled him for a long kissed and silently praised the God for giving this man in my life. Pulling away from him and stared into his lovely green eyes I whispers, “I love, my husband. I love you.”

“And I love you my wife,” he replied smiling at me. “We’re going to do it together and I promised I will never give up on you.”

I hugged him, “I promised you too. As long as you are with me, I’ll never giving up on myself and I’ll definitely never give up on us.”

That night while lying on my bed I took out the letter I wrote to myself and crumpled it away. I wrote myself another letter.

“Dear Me

I am going to be fine. I am ready to take the challenge. I will never allow my disabilities take control of me. I will fight it. Together with my loving husband and his love, we’re going to fight it. We will make me feel and be prefect again. I’m gunning for Jenna. Gunning for the strong and confident Jenna. Gunning for me.”

THE END…
