I have just signed up and thought i'd submit what is, essentially, what happened to be in my word processor at the time. Nothing special and certainly not long enough to merit much attention.

Let’s evaluate things. My voice feels thick in my mouth, falling out of my face in unconvincing glugs. Nasty flickers play over in my mind- what has happened to me? How does everything begin so fresh? When you examine it then reality seems so degenerative. It’s a twisted irony that plagues the more negative corners of my mind. “Stop that” I say to myself. Breathe or something. Eat. Drink. Something standard. This normal room has turned into a cell for bad omens, they channel through me and scratch madly at the walls, before turning on me... “stop that” i say to myself.
