This is really more a first draft then anything but i figured i would publish it anyway, i wrote this pretty quickly so i apologize for any spelling mistakes. also sorry for the corny title... sometimes you just have to dig it.

Do you remember when we used to watch the blue skies- hoping to visit the distant stars?

Do you remember lying under the starry skies- with dreams of visiting the moon?

Do you remember when we used to dance?

When neither of us cared about what we looked like,

We didn’t need music to dance- the rhythm of ignorance guided us across the dance floor, do you remember when all you had to do was ask- and suddenly you had hundreds of people to call friends,

Waking up in the morning was harder than making best friends,

Do you remember when you couldn’t wait to grow up?

Do you remember the moment you realized there was something you lost- when you gained maturity?

Do you remember when our favorite colors were the ones you wore everyday?

The evolution of emotion and intelligence was so swift,

As if it never happened,

But I remember innocence,

And ignorance,

I remember when we were happy kids,

And happiness was easier to find than stars in the sky.
