A summer's pride preceded fall

And trails were paved with leaves of gold

Till glassy flakes of silver frost

Fell over fall's inlays of brass

The silver turns to iron bars

And clouds hide stars to steal the way

White sheets blankets sleeping souls

The graying graves of grieving goals

One day light will spring again

And bold sunshine emboss the sky

The blue and gold, for kings of old

Reforged from you and I
