The Sea at Dawn

Poem by: Sambelini

Summary

Umm, I wrote this poem. It's about the sea. At dawn. I think it sounds nice, but I'm not sure about relating the sun to wine and having the sea "drunk"...It's a little weird to me.

Waves licked up the salty shore,

A thirsty tide on jagged teeth

Light poured over from the rim,

Where sky came down to kiss the sea

Spilling golden wine in droughts,

Peace instilled on gnashing waves

Til, in drunken sways, the lips,

Whispered sweet, unsteady sprays
