This is a poem I wrote for English.
So you understand why I wrote it I'll tell you this much. My boyfriend is in the Navy, He is a graduate from High School, I have one more year to go. I miss and love him so much. That should sum it up.

I miss the way we used to laugh.

The way we talked about nothing in particular.

The big lake we used to sit by, sparkling in the sun, and under the stars.

I miss the trees and the dark green grass.

I miss the way you would hold my hand, fingers intertwined so naturally.

The way we just looked at the stars.

There was so much love and happiness.

I miss the way the birds would sing.

The big tree in the middle of the lake we would sit on.

I miss the way we skipped rocks across the water.

The way I could only get it to skip once before it would sink.

When you come home, and you’re off that big ship we’ll go places.

Where there’s a lot of space, and the birds will sing to us again.

Just like the places we used to go.
