As the blood moon rises daylight fades away,
Leaving behind the memories captured throughout the day.

I climb into my bed after gazing at the moon,
Not aware of what was to happen, all so very soon.

Awakened in the night the sky it's not like on earth,
I realise then and there I'm not on my own turf.

Though my bedroom looks as if it's almost the same,
I hear a soft sweet whisper calling out my name.

Not recognising the tone but I am all too curious,
I begin to reply to this but this thing becomes so furious.

A little more alarmed by what this thing wants with me,
I hope he's not concocting a recipe to eat me.

But instead it is quite different as he steps closer to the bed,
I'm here to take you home you belong with us instead.

Thinking this was a dream I lay under the covers once more,
He grabbed my arm from beneath then dragged me through the door.

It was dark and cold, the smell of mould lingering in the air,
Frightened of what's was coming, scream, I didn't dare.

Terrified by fright is this a monster on my arm?
Suddenly he changed out came with it the charm
