Some things once lost can never be found.

String the beads of discontent,
hanging heavy on a fragile string.

Watch them fall, each one a loose segment
of hopes and dreams and summers and springs.
What does each one represent?

See them scatter on floors of yesterday.
Count how many  of them you lost
as you were going merrily along your way.
Like a coin you carelessly tossed.
Now you're looking for a needle in the hay.

beautiful, struck a chord with me, does the idea behind the poem revolve around, the beads representing segments of your life?
