The end can be a beginning

Again this goes to Ann Porter for how much she has touched me

She made death appear
little as a knoll,
even though I could see
it surely take its toll.
I wondered who had more
control.
For death took not
her soul.
It took her parts,
but not the whole.
So worthy she
I must extol,
that death was not
her final role!
She had a much higher
goal,
the invincibility
to console.
