I'm riding a slow train to nowhere.
I boarded, paid the conductor
for my fare.
It's steaming smoke as it pulls out.
Shh! ALL QUIET on the outside.
But inside I'm hoarse from what I can't shout.

It's a fucking dark tunnel we're going through.
I just packed my shit and hopped aboard.
Don't question where we're going to.
Will I ever see the light of day?
Seems like I'm on the ass end, the caboose.
I know, I know, I chose to travel this way.

They say it's the journey not the destination.
Well, that's swell on a slow train to hell -
You'll have to forgive me if I don't last the duration.
I'm fucking tired; I moan and scoff.
You know at times, I just want to jump off!!!
