Don't be afraid of the light. You lived so much in the dark that it's blinded your sight.

We're getting closer
to something we never knew.

And sometimes it's hard
to let the light shine through.
Too long a time spent
alone in the dark
hurts your eyes when the light's
so intense that it creates such a spark.
Though it shines warmly
on your face
you fear to let it near.
You run from its embrace.
But no matter the distance
that you run
you never shall escape
the light of the sun.

Nice it has a good flow! Good rhyme scheme as well! Glad I read it!

I prefer the shade myself, not to be rude. But you are right, it's always there somewhere, I mean the sun. I am a bit bland right now though, I could be missing the full picture.
