We all wear different masks,
ashamed to bare our own faces.
And we all have our defenses.
We put up walls and try to hide
behind them.
We are afraid to reveal ourselves
to the world.
We fear rejection.
We worry what people will think.
It took some time for me
to tear down all your walls.
You built them up for your own
protection.
That I understood.
But you knew it was never going to
stop me!
I went straight ahead.
Am I'm so very glad that I did
because I love what I found
underneath it all.
I found the real you.
