All Things In Good Time

A little cherub told me I should patiently wait,
that love can stand the test of time.

But why am I starving here at heaven's gate
waiting to get inside?
Each precious moment shall build up your fate.
Just let love be your guide.
The clock on the wall shall never dictate.
Expectations will be denied.
If the road is crooked how can I walk it straight?
Walk it open-eyed.
You've been conditioned; it's all innate.
Take what is being supplied.
But I fear the clock; it's growing too late!
Time is not on my side.
I tell you something here is so great;
you must faithfully abide.
Patience will unload most of the weight.
Trust in the test of time.
