I don't want to rage.
Inside myself, rage is just a cage.

It closes me in.
Keeps alive all of my suffering.
But what of love?
Love is what forgiveness is made of.

I don't want the demons to reside.
Inside myself, is where they hide.
It closes you out.
Keeps alive a mind full of doubt.
But what of love?
Love is what forgiveness is made of.

I don't want to retaliate.
Inside myself, would only lie the hate.
It closes every door.
Keeps alive old wounds evermore.
But what of love?
Love is what forgiveness is made of.
