I walked down the street with James. It was still beautiful, as I had seen it years ago. The sun shining above the trees. It was spring time, the nature was at its most beautiful stage of change. Birds were chirping in the forest. The music of the nature. The streets, almost filled with people living here. Everybody knew each other. All were like a family, even the nature too. The trees were feeling the presence of each other through the cool breeze. Nothing changed. It had been a two days since I arrived here.I remembered the last time I was here. I had someone who cared for me.

James left my hand and ran to play with other boys. I remembered my childhood days. When I used to play on these streets with my friends. One of my friends I still remember, David. He was the first love of my life. We use to walk together down this streets, watching others play. We were different in some kind.He don't use to talk much. He just watched me while we were alone in the farm or near the trees.

Everything was past.I had forgot most of it in those past 20 years. But still the memories were generating the good times I had here.

We were about to cross the age of a teenager. We loved each other at that time. Then, "I am going for the war."David said one day, as we sat besides the tree.

I was silent.

"I will come back."

"Promise me!" I had nothing to say. I looked at him desperately for an answer.

"I promise that I will come back."He looked in my eyes and holded my hands, "And then Miss Katherin Thomas, will you be my wife?" He was still looking in my eyes. His dark brown eyes had been searching for the answer in mine. His lips streatched both sides for a that beautiful smile.

I would have jumped if he had not holded my hands. Tears run down my cheeks and I smiled. I felt like I was the happiest person in this world. The feeling resisted me for about half minute to give David an answer. Then I realised he was still looking in my eyes. I tried to say yes, but i don't have my voice at that time. I shaked my head in Yes, smiling and crying at the same time. He hugged me tightly. Later we embarked a heart on that tree.

I leaved James, as he was playing with his new friends. I came across that tree. The heart was still embarked on it. It looked fresher than it seemed in my memories. I moved ahead.

The last day I saw him. He was leaving for the war with other young soldiers of the village. He met me alone. We sat on bench near the street corner. He was holding one of my hand and his other hand was around my shoulders. I could feel his heartbeats for me. I knew he didn't wanted to leave me, but he cannot.

"Will you do me a favour?"he asked.

"Yes!"

"Just move on if I don't re...."

I kissed him on his lips firmly. I could feel his breaths. He stopped.

"....turned."

I could not remember what happened after the kiss. Just I knew that, I waited every momment after the war for his return. There was no sign of him.

I moved on. I got married. I had a child now. My life is happier as it was back then. But after coming here I started to miss him more.

I was at the street corner. The bench was still there. A street light was establiahed near that bench. There was a man sitting there. He looked towards me.The man smiled. His lips stretched on both sides for that beautiful smile in my memories of David.I could see his dark brown eyes. I stood still, the man had stitches on one of his face. He was still looking at me. Then he called,"Katherin!"

I closed my eyes for that momment. I wished for this momment years ago. But now, things had changed. We can't be together anymore. I had moved on!

I opened my eyes. There was no one there. Just me alone, standing near the bench. The birds were still chirping around. Everything seemed to be moving except me.
