What if the love of your life is gone?

Will you wish for death to take you away?

A chill came out of my lips as I wait in vain.
Longing for eternal slumber while I'm drenched in rain.
How many weeks has it been since you passed away?
Leaving me, puts my life in disarray.

Days and nights I howled like a wolf.
Memories haunt every corner of this turf.
Forcing me to seek liquor's embrace
promising a moment of recollection's efface.

Never have I been good with words,
for words have interpretation that might be misconcieved.
I regret that I didn't utter those three words.
If I did, on your final moment, would you be relieved?

As my mortal vessel lay.
Soaked in heaven's tears, back against the cold earth, I wept.
Hoping for Death god's mercy to grant my
wish of demise and be reunited with my love.

With fate's painful torment,
I wake next morning in a room of white.
Seeing the face of my beloved just like an apparition would.
She gently whispered, "I'm still with you waiting, but you can't join me my love... at least not just yet."
