I poem I wrote when I was in a sad mood about my boyfriend who lives across the country from me. Just kind of a vent and an expression of feelings of a long distance relationship.

You're so far away,
Too far from me,
I just want you to stay,
Close enough for me to see

The smile on your face,
The look in your eyes,
But without a trace,
You're gone, no goodbyes.

Not goodbye,
Just see you soon or late,
If I were to lie,
I would say I'm alright.

I don't show my tears,
My thoughts, or my pain,
My smile hides my fears,
'Cause there's nothing to gain.

I can only be safe, and be sound,
In the hold of your arms,
If not I'll be found,
Tucked away in the harm.

My arms are empty.
My mind is full.
Thoughts of you,
Are all that pull me through it all.
