Arianna Caldwell is a fairly pretty, sixteen year old. She has no friends, her parents are divorced, and her mom remarried. She has two new step sisters, who are identical twins, and are fourteen years old. They dislike Arianna very much and her new step dad is not a big fan of her either. Arianna’s life is just one big mess. She hates her life and her mom is always neglecting her. She feels unwanted and lonely.
One day Arianna just couldn’t take it anymore. Everyone in school was teasing her, her step sisters were being rude, and her step dad wasn’t helping her much either. She decided it was time she left. Her family and school wouldn’t miss her much, she thought.
It was about one A.M. when she packed a few of her things, snuck out her bedroom window, and disappeared into the woods. She had a flashlight with her, but she didn’t need it because the moon was her flashlight.
She walked for what had seemed like hours, and she saw something in the distance. It was a pretty glowing pink light. “Maybe it’s just my imagination.” She thought out loud. As she grew closer the light got brighter and prettier.
She passed through a boundary line and was just shocked of what she had seen. Everything looked like a dream, but she knew it had to be real. She saw a pretty meadow, a beautiful pink mansion, and fairies all around. They right away greeted her with open arms. “I think I’m going to like it here.” She thought to herself as the fairies were curiously looking at their new resident.
The fairies took her bag and showed her to her new room. Her new room was so big and just beautiful. It was pink, her favorite color. It had basically everything she liked. “How do they know about all the things I like?” She wondered to herself. She looked in her new closet and saw the prettiest of dresses. “I guess its summer all the time here.” She thought not seeing any winter clothing.
The fairies brought Arianna down to dinner and she saw a long table with a feast on it. It had all of her favorite foods on it. She was so pleased, but at the same time puzzled. How do they know all this stuff about her?
After dinner the fairies brought her back to her room. Then the fairies had finally decided to talk to her. There were five fairies and they were all a different color, blue, pink, green, yellow, and purple. The pink fairy was the same fairy she had seen when she was walking in the woods.
“So Arianna, how do you like it here?” The pink fairy said stepping closer to Arianna. “Ho-How do you know my name?” She was a little startled. “Oh we know everything about you. We’ve been watching over you since the day your parents got divorced. We knew that after that things would start to fall apart for you and you would eventually run away to the woods.” The pink fairy explained to Arianna. Arianna was pretty happy about all of this. For once she felt cared for. “Well let’s let Arianna rest.” The blue fairy said gesturing the fairies out of Arianna’s room. It didn’t take long after that Arianna fell asleep. She already fell in love with this new world and knew things would turn out wonderful here.
Morning finally came and it was a beautiful first day of spring. Arianna woke up to the smell of her favorite breakfast foods, bacon, eggs, ham, and sausage. She went downstairs and the fairies were all sitting at the table waiting for her to get up. “Good morning Arianna. Did you sleep well?” The pink fairy asked getting up from her chair. “Oh yes, I slept wonderfully.” Arianna said with a big smile as she took a seat at the table. “Arianna, after you eat go change then meet us outside.” The pink fairy said and Arianna nodded.
Arianna finished getting dressed and met the fairies outside. She saw the fairies gathered around a crystal ball. “What’s that?” Arianna said as she got closer to it. “It’s a crystal ball. You see we are an organization for kids who feel unwanted and run away. Kids may think that their parents don’t love them or want them, but we show them that they are very wrong. We make you feel wanted and loved then we shop you that your parents really miss you. Come and look in the crystal ball, Arianna.” The blue fairy said and Arianna come up to the crystal ball. She looked into it and saw her mom and step dad arguing. Her mom was telling me he was rude to Arianna and that she wanted a divorce. Her step dad walked out with his daughters and Arianna’s mom was alone. “Oh Arianna, I’m so sorry. I wish I could rewind time. I need my little girl back.” Arianna’s mom said crying. “Sh-She does love me. And she misses me. I need to go back. Thank you all for everything.” Arianna said excitedly as she hugged the fairies goodbye. Then she ran home as fast as she could.
Arianna finally got to her house and she was so tired, but at the same time relieved. She ran in the door and yelled for her mom. “Mom I’m home!” She yelled as she ran to the kitchen. “Oh Arianna! It is you.” She said excitedly as she ran in and squeezed Arianna tight. “I’m so sorry!” Arianna and her mom said in unison and they just laughed and hugged each other closer. “Arianna I’m sorry for everything. You don’t have to worry about your step dad and step sisters. We are going to move far away from here. I promise you we will have a better life. We can start over.” Her mom said as she still held her close. “Oh mom, that would be just wonderful. I love you so much and I’m so sorry I left.” Arianna said almost crying. “I understand. Your step dad was a jerk anyway. I have no clue what I even saw in him.” Arianna’s mom said and they just laughed.
Arianna went in her room and started to pack up her things. She heard a noise and looked up to see a pink glowing light at her window. She got up and opened the window to find the pink fairy. “I just came to give you this.” The pink fairy said as she handed Arianna a pink dress. “Open after I leave.” Said the pink fairy. “Thank you, for everything. If it weren’t for you, I would still have a messed up life.” Arianna said. “Oh you’re welcome. It’s our jobs. I’m just glad you’re happy again.” The pink fairy said and disappeared into the night. Arianna opened the box only to find one of the pink dresses she had seen in the closet at the fairies mansion. It was one she had liked the most. Arianna smiled and packed it away.
A year had passed that Arianna and her mom were living in their new house. It was big and beautiful. Arianna already made new friends, and she just loved it there. She finally felt wanted, cared for, and most of all loved. It was a dream come true for Arianna.
