How could you? You never forget things like that.

In class the past few weeks I've been writing poems as I think of lines to start with, I'll post all of them.

You never forget things like that.
How could you?

They lurk in your head,
they hurt in your heart,
they scream at you through your scars.

You wish they would fade,
just go away,
but instead they remain,
the pain.

How could you?
You never forget things like that.
I tried.
You lied.

You lurk in my head,
you hurt in my heart,
you scream at me to make more scars.

You don't understand,
you don't care about me anymore,
you don't ever care about her.

I try to cry,
but my eyes are dry.
I try to scream,
but nobody even sees.

First love,
first pain,
first death.

You never forget things like that.
How could you?
